Excellent LeCoultre "Powermatic", a great example of the first automatic winding wristwatch with a power reserve complication. It is powered by a 17-jewel JLC caliber 481 bumper automatic which is stamped VXN on the balance. The movement’s serial number is 759235. The movement is decorated with striping. The dial is two-toned and all original. Signed “LeCoultre Automatic Swiss.” Luminous painted hours. Paint filled hands with blued steel sweep second hand. The case is the very rare and sought after stainless steel version with a screwback lid signed LeCoultre on the inside. The watch measures 33mm across, ca. 1945
